I want to be thorough on this review because I realize I'm the first one. I took a leap of faith buying this with no review, something I won't typically do.I've had this now for a few weeks. My original idea was I wanted a tablet that I could put my guitar music on and have it at a good enough size that I could still read it from a little distance, plus maybe have the ability to view entertainment or surf the web while on vacation or traveling --- all without paying an arm and a leg. At $200 I am fairly pleased with my purchase. No, it's not a high end device like an iPad, but I don't want to pay $500+ for this. I'll also say this is my first Android device, although my wife has a Nook Tablet and I've played around with that a little. The capacitive screen is responsive. This little tablet is great! ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich)is very responsive and quick. The screen is also very nice. BEWARE though, this is not a supported tablet by the Google Play Store (Android's version of the App Store) and because of this, you can't download a proper FB, Pandora, or other popular app from there. You will have to install the Amazon app store to get those, but you still cant get all from there. the back also scratches VERY easily. Otherwise, if you're looking for a cheap tablet to fulfill your portable needs, this is the one to buy!

I bought this tablet a few days ago and it has turned into a piece of junk. First the 4GB of storage space is NOT 4gb. It is like 2GB. Once that is gone YOU CANNOT STORE APPS ON SD CARD. There is no root that enables transfer of apps to SD. Some manufacturers of ICS tablets allow transfer of apps to SD via their ICS OS but Archos does not. The unit started glitching out, slow and wouldnt respond to my touches. Battery gets hot to touch easily thru the cheap plastic back, speaker quality is like a tin can and the viewing angles are ghastly. I know this is the budget model of Archos, but they really cut corners on this thing. I paid $179.99 for it. In reality it is only worth like $100 if that. I can buy a better budget tablet with ICS at my local CVS at $100 better than this thing. What really made me mad was I did not buy it on Amazon where there are no issues to return this thing.
